Like every great idea, That Glow Factor was birthed over a lunch conversation. As we were waiting to go to the next class, we began discussing the challenges that we were facing as young African women who were just starting to build their careers. The more we talked about it and also spoke to others, the more we realized that a space was needed where we could come together as young African women to offer support, advice and opportunities to help us thrive in our individual journeys.
Just like that, That Glow Factor - initially known as FemmePWR - began as a student club on campus on 12 October 2018.
Over the last 4 years, we've grown from a campus-based student club into a pan-African initiative bringing together young women across the continent to learn, engage, share and inspire each other towards greatness. Through various online digital spaces and short programs, we are enabling young African women to design, build and launch thriving careers.
